Der Venenkleber wird in aller Regel bei einer bis zwei Stammkrampfadern simultan eingesetzt – eigentlich reicht der Inhalt der Kleberampulle (Inhalt 4,5ml) für 2 Magnavenen eines langen Männerbeines.
Allerdings verbleibt im Teflon – Kathetersystem eine bestimmte Menge an Venenkleber und wird dann mit dem System in den Müll verbracht. In Hinblick auf den Kaufpreis des Systems eine GOTTESSÜNDE!

Praktischer Messtest Venenkleber im Katheter
Wir haben uns deshalb einen gestern eingesetzten Originalkatheter aufgehoben, um mit diesem einen realistischen Test durchzuführen, Ziel war die Antwort auf die Frage, wieviel Kleber eigentlich bei einer leeren Kleberampulle noch im Teflon-Applikationskatheter verbleibt und nutzbar ist.
Wie im Film dargestellt haben wir auch den Originalkatheter der gestrigen Implantation an beiden Magnavenen aufgehoben, um am gebrauchten Objekt zu testen.
Practical test glue inside an used catheter
We have taken a catheter system, we’ve used in yesterday treatment at two GSV to get a real practical treatment situation. The aim of this test was to get an answer of our question, how much reminder of the glue is inside the teflon system and can to be used for treatment of an other truncal vein.

Überraschung perfekt – noch 30 Tropfen Venenkleber
Umso überraschter waren wir selbst, als wir heute einmal den Test in einer kleinen Pause durchführten. Unglaublich aber wahr – es konnten 30 Tropfen Venenkleber (0,09ml je Tropfen) auf einen Teelöffel gesammelt werden. Dazu hatten wir die 2ml Injektionsspritze mit Luft aus dem leeren Glas gefüllt und haben auch die Dosierpistole angeschlossen.
Mit 30 Tropfen kann man nach dem zugelassenen Therapieprotokoll noch weitere 80-90 cm Vene verschliessen.
Was bedeutet das für den medizinischen Alltag?
Tatsächlich ist mit dem Venenkleber- Kathetersystem im Normalfall eine Therapie aller vier Stammvenen normalen Durchmessers möglich. Etwas anders stellt sich die Situation allerdings dar, wenn die Venen aneurysmatisch oder ekstatisch erweitert sind – dann ist alle 2 cm ein Tropfen des Venenklebers notwendig.
Aus dem scheinbaren Nachteil eines hohen Anschaffungspreises wird sowohl für Arzt als auch und vor allem für unsere Patienten ein entscheidender Vorteil – alle betroffenen Stammvenen sind simultan in einer Sitzung therapierbar – ganz ohne Narkose, ganz ohne Tumeszenz, ganz ohne Kompression und ohne stationären Aufenthalt.
Spätestens hier sollten dann aber auch Krankenkassen und – Versicherer aufhorchen, sollte es um eine Kostenfrage gehen….

We were very surprised really – have made the test today in a short break: Unbelievable: again 30 drops of glue inside the teflon catheter can to be used for the treatment – we collected and counted both on a teaspoon – my camera women Madleen (thanks a lot!) and me – this in enought for treatment of both SSV also simultaneously in following the official therapy protocol We took an ampulla air filled 2ml syringe inside the injection pistol an so we got this realistic result…
Whats the importance for our clinical work?
In real we can treat with the VenaSeal System 4 truncal veins with a normal varicose diameter in one session. Another situation we have to respect in cases of ectatic or aneurysmativ truncal veins – here we need one drop all 2 cm of vein…
The seeming disadvantage of great costs will change to a great advantage for the doctor but especially for our patients. all of our varicose truncal veins are treatable in one session – without narcotics, without tumescence, without compression, without hospitalization.
At least now the insurances should sit up and take notice if the problems are the costs….
