Saphenion®: long-term results of vein glue – has been published by us in regular succession for 10 years and aims to compare international publications on the subject with our own experiences and to remain meaningful. Our patients are now very well informed about this therapy method for varicose veins, which has been offered for 14 years.

After 14 years of use, we have so far treated 2389 patients on 5146 saphenous veins – over 1,8 Mio. patients worldwide have now been treated with the vein glue VenaSeal®. In the meantime, we have successfully used the vein glue VenaSeal® to clean the vein system in 74 patients with COVID-19 infection after they have recovered, and have treated 85 patients with ulcera crures of legs successfully.

Über viele Jahrzehnte war die Ligatur der Leisteneinmündung und das Herausziehen der Vena saphena magna und, wenn notwendig, deren Seitenäste die herkömmliche Therapie. Fortschritte der minimalinvasiven Kathetertherapie führten zur Entwicklung der kathetergestützten thermischen Verfahren mittels Radiofrequenz oder Laser. Diese Verfahren haben seit ca. 25 Jahren im klinischen Alltag zunehmend an Akzeptanz gewonnen.
For many decades, ligation of the inguinal junction and extraction of the great saphenous vein and, if necessary, its side branches was the conventional therapy. Advances in minimally invasive catheter therapy led to the development of catheter-based thermal procedures using radiofrequency or laser. These procedures have gained increasing acceptance in clinical practice for about 25 years.

Saphenion® – Bilder einer Ausstellung: VenaSeal – Bei normalkalibrigen Stammkrampfadern zwischen 0,4 – 1cm Durchmesser können wir die Vene komplett mit dem Kleber verschliessen. Bei allen Venen mit größeren Durchmesser brauchen wir auch einen Gerinnungseffekt im Gefäß – ähnlich dem bei der Mikroschaumtherapie.

Saphenion®: Intermittierende Kompressions – Therapie nach Venenkleber

Saphenion® hat vor 13 Jahren begonnen, allen Patienten unmittelbar nach einer Krampfadertherapie mittels Venenkleber oder auch nach einer Mikroschaumtherapie mit Sealing Foam (Klebender Mikroschaum) eine Kompressionsmassage der therapierten Beine anzubieten. Sämtliche Patienten haben gerne diese Massagetherapie  der operierten Beine mittels Vacuum – Massage – Computer unmittelbar nach der Therapie angenommen.

Saphenion® has began 13 years ago at the praxis in Rostock / Baltic Sea to make a massage of the leg, we have treated with VenaSeal or Sealing Foam immediately after operation. All of patients have used this special service with a vacuum massage computer imediately post intervention.

Saphenion®: Krampfadertherapie nach Covid-19 Infektion/Impfung – Wie sehen unsere aktuellen Erfahrungen aus? Wir hatten im September 2021 in einer News und einem Video auf unsere Erfahrungen bei der Krampfadertherapie mit VenaSeal® Venenkleber und Mikroschaum nach zuvor stattgehabter 2. Covid-19 Impfung hingewiesen. Anlass waren vermehrte Nebenwirkungen, die wir ab August 2021 (nach dem Sommerurlaub) im Verlauf der Therapie sehen mussten. Hier muß berücksichtigt werden, daß ein Großteil unserer Patienten bis Mitte Juli eine zweite Biontec-oder Moderna-Impfung erhalten hatte.
Auffällig waren, wie beschrieben, ungewöhnlich häufige Fremdkörperreaktionen nach dem Venenkleber und auch häufige Hautvenenthrombosen und – Entzündungen nach der Mikroschaumtherapie.

Die Hersteller von Venenklebern setzen beim therapeutischen Einsatz des Venenklebers recht enge Grenzen. Bei Saphenion gehört der Venenklebers VenaSeal® seit 14 Jahren zur Behandlungen von Krampfadern und hat andere Katheterverfahren (Laser) inzwischen komplett abgelöst. Nach der Behandlung von bisher 2383 Patienten und 5129 Stammvenen macht man sich über das Therapieschema natürlich auch Gedanken. Über Modifikationen zur Verbesserung der Anwendung, zur Erweiterung des Spektrums und – aus Sicht des Patienten – einem noch schonenderen und schnelleren Therapieerfolg.
