Saphenion®: Behandlung von Krampfadern im Sommer? Dank neuer minimalinvasiver sanften Behandlungstechniken mittels Klebenden Mikroschaums (Sealing Foam) oder des seit nunmehr 14 Jahren praktisch erfolgreich eingesetzten Verklebers VenaSeal® sind aber nun auch Eingriffe in den warmen Monaten, in den Sommerferien der Kinder oder auch vor einem Urlaub am Meer möglich. Venenkleber und Mikroschaum ermöglichen eine Behandlung der Krampfadern auch bei strahlendem Sonnenschein.

Thanks to the technique of sealing varicose veins, which has been practised for 14 years, interventions on the truncal veins are possible at any time in all seasons. Saphenion®: Biokleber 66 Jahre medizinischer Einsatz: Seit 1949 ist der Gefäßkleber Cyanoacrylat chemisch bekannt, 10 Jahre später konnte die sehr gute Klebeeigenschaft erstmals auch in biologischen Geweben nachgewiesen werden. Seit Mitte der 1950er wurden Fibrin – und Acrylatkleber in der Medizin in verschiedenen Fachdisziplinen getestet. Und seit 1960 wird er in fast allen Fachrichtungen vielfach und zunehmend eingesetzt.

Unsere Patienten sind inzwischen sehr gut über dieses Therapieverfahren informiert – Nach 168 Monaten Einsatz haben wir bisher 2366 Patienten an 5081 Stammvenen therapiert, die Verschlussrate der behandelten Venen liegt bei 96,53%.

Seit Jahrzehnten gibt es verschiedene diagnostische Tests und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten für Patienten mit Krampfadern an den Beinen. Ziel dieser systematischen Übersichtsarbeit war es, die neuesten Erkenntnisse zusammenzufassen, die von amerikanischen Kollegen zur Aktualisierungen der klinischen Leitlinien zur Behandlung von Krampfadern für die Gesellschaft für Gefäßchirurgie (SVS), das American Venous Forum (AVF) und die American Vein and Lymphatic Society veröffentlicht worden sind.

Various diagnostic tests and treatment options for patients with varicose veins in the legs have been available for decades. The aim of this systematic review was to summarize the latest findings published by American colleagues to update the clinical guidelines for the treatment of varicose veins for the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), the American Venous Forum (AVF) and the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.

Saphenion®: long-term results of vein glue – has been published by us in regular succession for 10 years and aims to compare international publications on the subject with our own experiences and to remain meaningful. Our patients are now very well informed about this therapy method for varicose veins, which has been offered for 14 years.

After 14 years of use, we have so far treated 2366 patients on 5081 saphenous veins – over 1,8 Mio. patients worldwide have now been treated with the vein glue VenaSeal®. In the meantime, we have successfully used the vein glue VenaSeal® to clean the vein system in 74 patients with COVID-19 infection after they have recovered, and have treated 84 patients with ulcera crures of legs successfully.
