Ergebnisse vorliegender aktueller Studien zur Problematik einer Thrombose nach VenaSeal® oder Radiowellentherapie haben die Sicherheit von Radiowellen – und Kleber – Verschlusstechniken bei chronisch venösen Veränderungen der Stammvenen mit niedrigeren Thromboseraten – als bisher berichtet -gezeigt.

The results from some actually international studies have demonstrated the safety of Radio wave and Vein glue closure techniques for CVI, with lower thrombotic rates than previously reported. Further work might help to identify how these results can be achieved across all venous ablative techniques for CVI, even for patient populations with advanced venous disease and possibly a greater-than-average risk of thrombotic – events.

Saphenion®: Turning Time at Charitè – The Berlin Charité, Germany’s well-known hospital, was at the same time a center of research, teaching, and further education. It was part of the university, which was given the name Humboldt in GDR times. After the end of the GDR a considerable exchange of management personnel took place in the Charité, the media supplied the accompanying music with Stasi hysteria and scandal stories. The Charité, also in GDR times nationally and internationally a well-known university hospital, now seemed to have been a branch of the MfS and the Politbureau in public perception.

Saphenion®: Unter der Verödungstherapie versteht man die geplante Ausschaltung von Krampfadern unterschiedlicher Lokalisation im Gewebe durch Einspritzen eines Verödungsmittels (Ethoxisklerol / Schaum). Dadurch soll eine ausgeprägte Schädigung der inneren Gefäßwand erreicht werden, die idealerweise zu einer Umwandlung der Vene in einen bindegewebigen Strang führt. Dieser rekanalisiert nicht und ersetzt in funktioneller Sicht auch das radikalchirurgische Herausziehen von Krampfadern.
Saphenion®: Sclerotherapy is the planned elimination of varicose veins at different locations in the tissue by injecting a sclerosing agent (ethoxisclerol / foam). This is intended to cause pronounced damage to the inner vessel wall, which ideally leads to the vein being transformed into a strand of connective tissue. This does not recanalize and functionally replaces the radical surgical removal of varicose veins.

Saphenion®: Die Radikalität der Krampfadertherapie – Der radikale operative Umgang mit der Vena saphena magna und Vena saphena parva und die damit verbundenen Komplikationen führten bereits schon in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts zu einer Zurückhaltung und lediglich eingeschränkten Verbreitung des Stripping – Verfahrens in Deutschland.

Saphenion®: The radical nature of varicose vein therapy – The radical surgical treatment of the great saphenous vein and small saphenous vein and the associated complications led to reluctance and only limited use of the stripping procedure in Germany as early as the first half of the 20th century.

Saphenion®: Unsere Wartezimmerkonzerte – Die OZ-Kultur vom 12.07.2023 berichtete: „Rostocker Arzt begeistert Patienten mit speziellem Konzept“ – der Journalist Werner Geske hatte die Praxis im Juni 2023 anlässlich des 10. Wartezimmerkonzertes, zu dem wir wie beim 1. Konzert Harpoon aus Warnemünde eingeladen hatten, besucht. Nach eigener Auskunft war er sehr gerührt von der Athmosphäre und der Möglichkeit, sich einen Eindruck von dieser Art Kunst in der Medizin verschaffen können. Angeregt führte er dann Interviews mit dem Musiker und Patienten.
Saphenion®: Our waiting room concerts – The OZ-Kultur of 12.07.2023 reported: “Rostock doctor inspires patients with special concept” – the journalist Werner Geske visited the practice in June 2023 on the occasion of the 10th waiting room concert, to which we had invited Harpoon from Warnemünde, as at the 1st concert. According to him, he was very moved by the atmosphere and the opportunity to get an impression of this kind of art in medicine. He then conducted lively interviews with the musician and patients.
