Saphenion®: Venaseal® Therapie – Patientengeschichten. Seit nunmehr 14 Jahren führen wir die Therapie mit den Venenkleber VenaSeal® in unserer Rostocker Praxis durch – ein paar interessante Fälle aus den Jahren möchten wir regelmäßig vorstellen.

Saphenion®: Die Radikalität der Krampfadertherapie – Der radikale operative Umgang mit der Vena saphena magna und Vena saphena parva und die damit verbundenen Komplikationen führten bereits schon in der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts zu einer Zurückhaltung und lediglich eingeschränkten Verbreitung des Stripping – Verfahrens in Deutschland.

Seit 120 Jahren wird das radikalchirurgische „Stripping“ – das Herausziehen der Stammkrampfader – durchgeführt. Bis heute wird es in Deutschland unverändert zu einem der Standardverfahren moderner Krampfadertherapie erklärt. Für uns Grund genug, einmal in alten Operationslehrbüchern zu blättern,  um damalige Alternativverfahren zu finden und auf die neuen Standardverfahren hinzuweisen.
For 120 years, the radical surgical „stripping“ – the extraction of the truncal varicose vein – has been performed. To this day, it is still declared one of the standard procedures of modern varicose vein therapy in Germany. For us, this is reason enough to leaf through old surgical textbooks to find alternative procedures of the time and to point out the new standard procedures.

Saphenion®: Faktencheck VenaSeal – Cyanoacrylatkleber bei Krampfadern
Werden in der Chirurgie Kleber eingesetzt, handelt es sich nahezu immer um Cyanoacrylate. Diese wurden erstmals 1949 synthetisiert, in 1959 wurde die extrem hohe Klebkraft festgestellt und bereits 1960 wurden sie erstmals als Biokleber eingesetzt.

When glue are used in surgery, they are almost always cyanoacrylates. These were first synthesized in 1949, their extremely high glue strength was discovered in 1959 and they were first used as bio glue as early as 1960.

Saphenion® Ein halber Teelöffel VenaSeal® – Das Venenkleben mit VenaSeal® Venenkleber ist eine Technik, bei der grosse (!) Mengen Kunststoff in die Vene implantiert werden! So lesbar in einigen Statements und Veröffentlichungen von ärztlichen Kollegen. Eine andere nachlesbare Behauptung ist, dass der Kleber über 10 Jahre im Körper verbleibt.

Saphenion® Half a teaspoon of VenaSeal® – Vein sealing with VenaSeal® is a technique in which large (!) quantities of plastic are implanted into the vein! This can be read in some statements and publications by medical colleagues. Another claim that can be read is that the adhesive remains in the body for over 10 years.

Saphenion®: long-term results of vein glue – has been published by us in regular succession for 10 years and aims to compare international publications on the subject with our own experiences and to remain meaningful. Our patients are now very well informed about this therapy method for varicose veins, which has been offered for 14 years.

After 14 years of use, we have so far treated 2376 patients on 5110 saphenous veins – over 1,8 Mio. patients worldwide have now been treated with the vein glue VenaSeal®. In the meantime, we have successfully used the vein glue VenaSeal® to clean the vein system in 74 patients with COVID-19 infection after they have recovered, and have treated 85 patients with ulcera crures of legs successfully.
