VenaSeal in ectatic veins – only sealing or combination sealing and endovenous thrombosis?

In the normal diameter of GSV or SSV (between 0,4 cm to 1 cm), we can seal the vein completely and only with the sealing effect of the super glue. In all veins with a diameter higher than this diameter it is not only the glue, In these cases we need also the thrombogenic effects – the same as microfoam – otherwise, we need too much glue, and we cannot follow complete the therapy protocol in all points.

One example of aneurysmatic veins – we sealed the truncal vein and additionally we made a function of the aneurysmatic part with the Seldinger needle and injected one to two drops of glue. This is not enough to seal all the parts of the vein wall. We need also thrombosis for effective and complete closure of the vein.

Saphenion® – Pictures of an exhibition: VenaSeal in normal cases

In normal cases with a diameter of the varicose veins up to 0,8 to 1 cm, we can seal all of the vein walls with glue like the protocol. We don’t find a lot of thromboses inside and also a function after the sealing therapy doesn’t show any thrombotic blood  – like these pictures are showing. We get a harmonic veins strand with a harmonic „glue tape“  inside the whole length of the vein!

Our Patient Hans Modrow gave the permission to use the ultrasound pictures of his VenaSeal therapy, Thanks so much!
