Saphenion®: Venaseal® Therapie – Patientengeschichten. Seit mehr als 14 Jahren führen wir die Therapie mit den Venenkleber VenaSeal® in unserer Rostocker Praxis durch – ein paar interessante Fälle aus den Jahren möchten wir regelmäßig vorstellen.

Saphenion®: 145 Monate Klebender Mikroschaum – es wird die Weiterentwicklung der Mikroschaumtherapie beschrieben. Klebender Mikroschaum ist eine Modifikation des zur Verödungstherapie allgemein eingesetzten Ethoxisklerol – Mikroschaums. Mit dem Erfolg des Venenklebers lag die Idee nah, den Mikroschaum weiter zu entwickeln. Veröden und Kleben simultan ist eine der möglichen Variationen.

Saphenion®: 145 Months Sealing Microfoam – the further development of microfoam therapy is described. Adhesive microfoam is a modification of the ethoxisclerol microfoam generally used for sclerotherapy. With the success of the vein glue, the idea of further developing the microfoam was obvious. Simultaneous sclerotherapy and gluing is one of the possible variations.

Saphenion® setzt die Mikroschaumtherapie seit 2002 ein. Wir haben in unserem Gefäßzentrum nach Eintreten von PD Dr. Lahl (2006) und Frau Dr. Martell (2016) einige Modifikationen der Injektionstechnik eingeführt und den Mikroschaum modifiziert. Die mehr als 14 – jährige erfolgreiche Arbeit mit dem Venenkleber „VenaSeal“ legte die Idee nahe, auch dem Mikroschaum zusätzlich eine klebende Wirkung zu geben.

Saphenion® has been using microfoam therapy since 2002. Following the arrival of PD Dr. Lahl (2006) and Dr. Martell (2016), we introduced several modifications to the injection technique and modified the microfoam at our vascular center. more than 14 years of successful work with the vein glue “VenaSeal” suggested the idea of also giving the microfoam an additional sealing effect.

Der Venenkleber gibt den Gefäßchirurgen und Venenspezialisten die Möglichkeit, auch ältere Patienten ambulant an den Stammkrampfadern zu behandeln. Natürlich ist die Indikation viel mehr auf funktionelle Aspekte des Krampfaderleidens abzustellen, aber bei den rund 35% der über 60 – jährigen Patienten in unserer Praxis stehen durchaus auch kosmetische Gründe im Focus.
The vein glue gives vascular surgeons and vein specialists the possibility to treat older patients on an outpatient basis on the truncal varicose veins. Of course, the indication is based much more on functional aspects of varicose vein disease, but for the approximately 35% of patients over 60 years of age in our practice, cosmetic reasons are definitely also in focus.

Seit Jahrzehnten gibt es verschiedene diagnostische Tests und Behandlungsmöglichkeiten für Patienten mit Krampfadern an den Beinen. Ziel dieser systematischen Übersichtsarbeit war es, die neuesten Erkenntnisse zusammenzufassen, die von amerikanischen Kollegen zur Aktualisierungen der klinischen Leitlinien zur Behandlung von Krampfadern für die Gesellschaft für Gefäßchirurgie (SVS), das American Venous Forum (AVF) und die American Vein and Lymphatic Society veröffentlicht worden sind.

Various diagnostic tests and treatment options for patients with varicose veins in the legs have been available for decades. The aim of this systematic review was to summarize the latest findings published by American colleagues to update the clinical guidelines for the treatment of varicose veins for the Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS), the American Venous Forum (AVF) and the American Vein and Lymphatic Society.
