Venous circulatory disorders, just like the so-called smoker’s leg, can lead to considerable impairment and even drastic changes in the individual’s life course, up to the loss of the leg or even death due to a pulmonary embolism.

Saphenion®: vein glue is the most beautiful waltz – this comes to mind after working with this therapy method for more than 13 years and in most cases, most patients have smiled after the treatment and a smile after the check-ups.

Saphenion®: Varicose veins and thrombosis – both diseases are closely linked. The risk of varicose vein patients suffering a superficial or deep vein thrombosis increases exponentially by a factor of 2-4. In women on anticonceptive hormone therapy, the risk increases by a factor of 8.

Saphenion®: Turning Time at Charité – Elite exchange

Saphenion®: Turning Time at Charitè – The Berlin Charité, Germany’s well-known hospital, was at the same time a center of research, teaching, and further education. It was part of the university, which was given the name Humboldt in GDR times. After the end of the GDR a considerable exchange of management personnel took place in the Charité, the media supplied the accompanying music with Stasi hysteria and scandal stories. The Charité, also in GDR times nationally and internationally a well-known university hospital, now seemed to have been a branch of the MfS and the Politbureau in public perception.

In the meantime, we have successfully used the vein glue VenaSeal® to clean the vein system in 68 patients with COVID-19 infection after they have recovered, and have treated 78 patients with ulcera crures of legs successfully.

According to current statistics, around 65 – 70% of all vein operations in Germany are still performed using radical surgery. This means that the country is completely decoupled from developments in other medically highly developed countries (USA, UK, Western Europe, EU countries, Northern Europe). In the USA, more than 90% of all varicose vein procedures are now performed using minimally invasive endovenous surgery.
This is all the more incomprehensible as, in view of demographic change, a further increase in venous diseases and, in particular, a shift in stages towards more severe varicose veins is to be expected!
